Introduction

Welcome to StuffUshare! We've prepared a short guide to get you started using our web site. We hope that for the most part, the site is intuitive and easy to use (and thus you don't have to read this). However, following is a brief overview of what StuffUshare has to offer. We hope you enjoy the site!

Getting started

You can start using StuffUshare right away without having to create an account. You will be able to browse and watch all public videos, and user groups. We encourage you to sign up so that you may share your own videos, join user groups, and participate in on line forums.

Sign up

To create your account, sign up by clicking the “Sign up” link at the upper-right section of the page. It is very easy, all you need is to provide a valid email address (for verification purposes), a user name, and a password. You will receive an email in your inbox with a link. Click on the link to validate your email address.

Browsing videos

The easiest way to start browsing videos is right from our homepage. There you will find a list of recently viewed and featured videos. You can browse videos from in different ways by going to the different sections of the web site: watch, categories, groups

Upload a video

You must be a registered user to upload a video. Once you are logged in, simply click on the “Upload” tab and follow the instructions on the following pages. Our web site accepts a wide range of video formats.

Video Categories

Our web site has a predefined set of video categories. When you go to the categories section, you can see how the categories are grouped under different “themes”, such as “Share your best performances...”, or “Make'em rejoice!”. We've organized the web site this way to help you find the kind of video story you are looking for.

User groups

Our web site offers user groups. We also have a predefined set of user groups, which you can choose to join. Through these groups, you can share videos and comment about them by using the forum feature available in the groups section. If you wish to add another group, please email groups@stuffushare.com.

Forum

To use the forum, you must sign up and join a user group. Once you are in a group, you can create a new topic in the forum, or click on one of the existing topics. There you can post your comments. When creating a new topic, or posting a comment, you can attach a video by selecting one from the drop down list that is below the text box where you write your post.

User profiles

When you sign up to StuffUshare, you create an account with a user profile. In your profile, you can put information about yourself that you would like to share with others. To edit your profile, log in, and click the link with your user name on it, which is at the top right of the page, next to the “Log Out” link.

Search

Search functionality is available through a search box located at the top of the web page (below the tabs). You can search for videos, users, or groups. Use the drop down list to select the type of search.
